Digital tools are transforming education, particularly in foreign language learning, where platforms like LearningApps.org make lessons more interactive and engaging. It allows educators to create activities like quizzes, puzzles, and matching games, offering new ways to enhance language skills. However, little is known about how students themselves feel about using this tool, especially in university-level foreign language courses. This study seeks to explore student perceptions of LearningApps.org in two different settings: French language courses at the University of Sharjah (UoS) and German language courses at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). It aims to uncover how students view the platform’s ease of use, its effectiveness in helping them improve their skills, and the challenges they face while using it. Additionally, it will examine whether students from the two universities in the UAE have differing experiences with the tool. A mix of surveys and open-ended questions are used to assess. Students are asked to share their thoughts on how user-friendly and beneficial the platform is for learning and challenges students encounter. Responses will be analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively to capture a well-rounded picture of their experiences. This research hopes to provide valuable insights for educators and developers on how tools like LearningApps.org can be better integrated into foreign language courses. By comparing feedback from students in different contexts, it aims to highlight the potential of digital platforms to make language learning more effective and enjoyable.
