Creativity despite being celebrated across different fields, it raises a dilemma in education regarding how to use it in practice. The presentation explores several aspects that effect creativity and investigate the role of the teacher, the curriculum, and the environment within art and design programs in the UAE in fostering students’ creativity.
Nada Altaher is an educator with 6 years of experience in Higher Education with a diverse background in Art, Design, and Media. Altaher holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia from Sharjah University and a Masters’s Degree in Visual Communication from Monash University. She is currently working on her Doctorate research investigating teaching practices within Art and Design education.
