Urban color is an important part of the construction of urban image, and urban color can make people talk to the city. This article takes the ‘blue’ of Lisbon, Portugal as the main color, and uses the relevant theories of the construction of urban image system. First, it discusses the application of blue in Lisbon tile art from the perspective of historical and cultural value. The blue-based tiles are one of the most representative cultural colors of Portugal. They tell the unique appearance of the city of Lisbon and connect the stories of history and modernity. And then, the article analyzes the development process of Lisbon’s blue ocean culture. As the country that opened the European Age of Exploration, the significance of the blue ocean to this country is self-evident. Through the blue in Lisbon, the significance of urban color to the construction of urban image is clarified, and how to use urban color to help the city shape a profound image is explored, providing more reference for the development of contemporary urban culture.
