After the II WW the main task for Warsaw was to rebuild the destroyed parts of the town. It soon became clear that many new housing estates have to be built too and today these housing estates are usually located in the very attractive areas of the town. In this time people had to wait for the flats for many years, and when they finally got them, they usually have to renovate them from the ground up. The TV show Alternatywy 4 directed by Stanisław Bareja was made in 1983 and after it has been censored it had to wait for the next 3 years to be shown. The film is about the people getting the new flats and their everyday life. Author created also the person of caretaker, who is terrorising the inhabitants and how do they unite and – get him off… Ursynów, the iconic district of Warsaw is very popular on the secondary market, mostly because of the first metro line starting here. What is more in 2019 the buildings where the film was filmed were decorated with murals with the persons from the TV show. Ursynów does not have many symbols or iconic landmarks – it is a typical Warsaw’s bedroom and the only landmarks are the palace form the XVIII century, owned by the government, which is usually closed for the visitors and one XVIII church. As a result two blocks of flats in Alternatywy 4 street are often visited by the people, who identify with this part of Warsaw and want to see the murals which became the symbol of the whole Ursynów.
