The design is based on mythology and religion, hence gods and goddesses are present. Besides, all the known codes of the Antiquity fashion have been displayed: laurel wreaths and flowers, draperies and togas, dominance of white and gold fabrics, ostentatious golden jewelry, Greek curls, revisited warrior helmets, sandals, dresses “with red and black figures” paying tribute to the Greek vases. Although Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian brand, the owners have made the show in Sicily in the Valley of the Temples, evoking a Greek identity different from the Roman one. Thus, this brand has gone beyond the territorial identity to a global cosmic identity that encompasses everyone without exception. With this kind of fashion show, we are taken to a universe without limits between earth and sky, between gods, heroes and warriors, between angels and men: no time, no place. We are exceptionally with the brand Dolce & Gabanna that embraces everything to achieve globalization. In this article, we will follow a chronological and thematic approach suggesting three areas of study : The first area concerns the history and the initial values of the monument. Then , we present the sources of inspiration adopted in the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show: chronological variety (from antiquity to modernism) and outstanding themes (mythology, spirituality, sculpture as art , ceramic decoration, architecture, tools of war, weapons). The second area will be devoted to the monument of the Concord as a public heritage space and its transformation from a spiritual, religious and divine place to a place of artistic exhibition. The third area of research will focus on the products of the parade as artistic creations in the fields of clothing, footwear, jewelry and accessories …
Yet , in this part , we must answer the following question: How did designers succeed to incorporate the antique elements in the design of the new products ?
