The current situation in China and around the world is characterized by significant changes. Urban space is no longer limited to the physical and social dimensions of matter, and the emergence of digital technology and the development of urban digital transformation are creating a massive “digital space”. At the same time, the boundary between the material world and the digital world is gradually disappearing as digital technology develops further. In the context of urban digital transformation, the flow of production factors and the production of space are becoming increasingly important. All items in urban life, even the city itself, have become commodities, and the development and spread of consumption space in commercial districts and urban communities have broken traditional patterns. As Beijing enters a comprehensive process of urban renewal, Sanlitun, as an international consumer hub, global commercial landmark, and the location of the embassy district, faces severe renewal challenges and tremendous renewal opportunities.Taking Sanlitun Business District in Chaoyang District, Beijing as an example, this article introduces the strategic background and technical applications of digital transformation, aiming to explore the integrated design strategy and method for the material-social-digital space. The integration of these three dimensions is conducive to improving the vitality and sustainability of urban areas, and provides new ideas for the updating and revitalization of commercial districts and community buildings.
