Smart cities represent the natural evolution of urban spaces worldwide, emerging technology and data to improve the quality of life for residents. The presentation will focus on the benefits brought on by the interaction, complementarity, and integraion of smart city options and tools in curving the urban landscape as attractive and liveable spaces for people. It emphasises the need to develop a comprehensive security and environmental framework within the broader critical infrastructure structure of smart cities. The outcomes of the collaboration are reflected in long term durability of Critical Infrastructure, the ability to respond rapidly to threats and disasters (natural or man-made), and the quick recovery of city systems.
