Amanda Seville is a PhD scholar within the Leverhulme Unit for the Design of Cities of the Future (LUDeC) funded programme. Amanda’s background is in sociology with her previous research focussing on stigma and a lack of support for those caught up in the Criminal Justice System, including their families. Amanda’s PhD research focuses on ‘hidden’ homelessness, giving priority to gender, in particular women’s experiences. The aim is to explore the many barriers that women face when accessing support services in the city and how these can be overcome by co-producing a digital signposting tool.
