IN-PERSON ISTANBUL HERITAGE(S)

Dr. Graham Cairns, UK, Director, AMPS. He has taught at Universities in Spain, the UK, Mexico, South Africa and Gambia. He has worked in architectural studios in London and Hong Kong and ran a performing arts company, Hybrid Artworks, with a specialism in video installation and performance art. The author and editor of several books and multiple articles on architecture, film, advertising and socio-politics, he co-founded AMPS in 2011 and is Executive Editor of the AMPS journal ISSN 2050-9006.

Prof. Dr. Eva Şarlak was born in Istanbul in 1962. A graduate of Saint Benoît French High School, she studied Classical Archaeology at Istanbul University and completed her MA and PhD in Art History at Istanbul Technical University. She became Associate Professor in European and Contemporary Art in 2006 and Professor in 2012. She served as Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts from 2017 to 2021. Founding President of the Association for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, she has contributed to numerous national and international heritage projects. She was selected as an International Visitor by the U.S. Department of State and participated in cultural heritage programmes in the United States and in the Le Havre region of France. She is currently affiliated with Işık University Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture.

Prof. Dr. Serhat Koloğlugil is currently the Acting Rector of Işık University  and a full-time faculty member in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences. He received his BA in Economics from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, in 2003. He then completed his MA and PhD in Economics at the University of California, Riverside, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. His research interests include the history of economic thought, institutional economics, political economy, and economic sociology. He has received various academic awards and has published numerous articles in his field. He is fluent in English and German.
