Dr. Karel Eliás obtained his education at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University in Prague (with a focus on PR and marketing) and further earned a CSc. degree at the Institute of Psychology, Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (specializing in social psychology and communication psychology). He has extensive experience in team building and team management within multinational companies (Shell, Contactel/TeleDanmark…) with a strong focus on meeting customer needs with high quality (QoS) while taking responsibility for P/L (profit and loss). He successfully integrated business and technical operations/processes with emphasis on customer acquisition/retention (Customer Facing Processes), for example, in the joint European project Shell-Esso, focused on EuroShell and Esso payment cards. Additionally, he founded the Customer Centre for EuroShell at Shell Czech Republic/Slovakia and contributed to the selection and implementation of CRM systems and ISO certification at Contactel. He has worked or is currently working in higher education (at the University of Economics, Czech Technical University, and now at the University of Economics and Management). He is a member of the Human Resources Committee and Marketing Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce in Prague, the 1st Tennis Club Prague, and the Golf Club Hradec Králové. He speaks English, Russian, and partially French.
