Following the pandemic, the landscape of design education underwent a profound transformation, marked by a significant surge in online activities and the integration of hybrid teaching methods. This shift, catalyzed by rapid technological progress, presented a distinctive challenge for design education programs. Traditionally rooted in hands-on, physical, and visual interactions, design education enabled students to explore the tangible aspects of different room environments. However, the pandemic disrupted this traditional approach, necessitating a swift infusion of technology to enrich the learning experience, making it more engaging and efficient. Design education faced the formidable task of adapting to the disruptive changes ushered in by the ongoing technological era. The transition to hybrid teaching methods demanded a re-examination of learning strategies within design study programs, requiring digital solutions to ensure effective learning. Consequently, digital learning tools were incorporated, reshaping the educational landscape into a dynamic, interactive platform accessible from various locations. To comprehensively explore this evolving educational paradigm, extensive research was conducted through In-depth literature reviews and immersive technology with the Practice-Based Research approach. The research specifically concentrated on implementing digital learning techniques enhanced with features that facilitate distance learning and training in a live, immersive setting by the utilization of user-friendly platforms supported by technology. This proactive approach sought to empower both educators and students, ensuring the program’s resilience against future disruptions and paving the way to enhance technological literacy to provide for a more interactive and technologically advanced educational experience with adaptable teaching materials accessible to students from diverse locations.
