Prof. Rama R Subrahmanian is an architect, planner and academician with vast industry and academic experience. She has worked in leading architectural firms and also practiced independently, with more than 50 projects designed by her proprietary firm. She started her academic career three decades ago and has handled various subjects as also the administrative aspects of the Institution. As Principal DSCA she is a dynamic and challenging Administrator. During her tenure of a decade, DSCA has seen immense growth; a great leap in student and faculty strength, activities and infrastructure. She has overseen the development of the dedicated seven floor new architecture block, with excellent infrastructure. She is a strong mentor to the new generation of academicians. She is associated with both Indian Institute of Architects, and the Council of Architecture; and is a Member Board of Studies of various other Institutions including SPA New Delhi (Dept of Housing) and Vellore School of Architecture & Planning. She is Member Board of Examinations, Board of Studies of VTU Belagavi. Her Research papers have been published in National & International journals. She has delivered invited Lectures, conducted workshops, organized conferences etc.
