What is the value in presenting exhibitions in virtual spaces? When we present artworks in custom-designed spaces can we create a genuine sense of aesthetic appreciation, social interaction and participation? This paper and presentation looks at two exhibitions carried out in 2021 and 2022 by Yeah Totally Ltd, a virtual design studio based in London. Between multiple platforms (Rhino, Blender, Hubs Mozilla) a unique virtual environment was created based on literature, sci-fi references and the idea of a future city. A curatorial team then positioned digital sculpture, painting, film and performance installations belonging to a roster of international artists into these worlds for two periods of six week exhibitions available to access from anywhere at any time. The presentation will allow audience members to also join and be immersed into these virtual spaces for the last time, where they can decide the validity of the experience for themselves using a phone, laptop or VR headset.
