In Hong Kong, recent educational circumstances had significantly impacted higher education teaching and learning for Professional Architecture programmes. The study adopted semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis to investigate insiders’ opinions (including faculty members and architecture students) from three HKIA accredited architecture programmes in Hong Kong, regarding their experience, perceived benefits and challenges during their online architectural studio courses. A critical review of reflecting virtual-implemented experiences contribute to inspirations of innovative pedagogical mechanisms for architecture studio education. The research highlights Hong Kong’s faculty and students from architecture background on their perceptions of online design studios. The work contributes as a reference for exploring blended learning in architecture education in Hong Kong.
